Our Story

SOS Congo began as a collective of like-minded Congolese youth in Calgary who shared a common goal:

To bring unity, restore a sense of connection, and foster fraternity within our community. We recognized the often-negative narrative associated with our community and felt compelled to change it. Our journey started with the realization that by “Sharing Our Stories,” we could present a dignified and complete account of the Congolese people’s experiences, culture, and remarkable achievements. This profound realization became the driving force behind our relentless pursuit of a brighter future.
